Even though I love blogging and find it so much fun it can be so intimidating. You have to put yourself out there and be willing to face criticism. And then there’s the fact that while some of us are just starting out, others are already successful millionaires and have gone past the scary stage - as they know a lot of people love what their writing. The trick to diving into the the blog world is just that – diving in. At some point, we all just have embrace whatever our dream job or hobby is and that takes confidence.

Of course gaining confidence is hard for anyone; but for me personally it's especially hard for bloggers. They put their lives online and publicly allow comments to be made and shown. I think it can be especially hard for bloggers because:

  • Getting to grips with lots of new technology can make you feel way out of your depth.

  • Writing posts can be a big worry, especially if you think you’re not a very good writer.

  • Putting yourself and your ideas out there for the world is often so daunting that bloggers give up before they begin!

Here's what i always tell myself when i'm writing a new blog post:

1. The Posts Don’t Have to be Perfect

Of course you want – and need – to create high-quality content, but you don’t have to be perfect from day one, in blogging you need to experience the change and you need to grow that's what blogging is all about.

2. You Can't Please Everybody

In blogging you always think should i post this or will it just flop. You worry about everyone's opinion and that is not what blogging is about - its about expressing yourself and your view to a community. The truth also is that very few comments you receive will be negative. If someone doesn’t enjoy your post, they’ll probably just move on

3. It’s Better to Write Something than Nothing

Without publishing and showing the viewers what you think they might like - it doesn't allow room for them to experience different styles of writing. it helps the viewers decide what they like and want to hear from you and without this there is no chance of improvement.
